Research: "How to Build a Pinhole Camera"
Bring in Directions and a build list for the camera of your choice!
(Start easy if you are not an experienced object maker. They can be a created simply with  a shoebox and tape or they can be complex as you are willing to make them.)

Bring any materials that you will need.
I have cardboard, tape and black spray-paint.

1. Research Artist of Choice & Prepare 15 minute Presentation:
You may create a Powerpoint or use Prezi.com. Bring in on a thumbdrive. You will give your presentation from my computer/projector.
2. Make at least FIVE contact prints from your Pinhole Litho negatives.
3. Screen Sally Mann: What Remains

Medium Format Prints
Create five Perfect Prints (8x10 or smaller) focusing on the square image, exquisite lighting & square composition. Subject matter is open.

Intro to Project 2:
Medium Format Prints
Create a SERIES of five Perfect Prints (8x10 or smaller) focusing on the medium format 4:3 ratio composition and double exposures. Subject matter is open, but the Series is the conceptual focus. Please consider all aspects of the notion of the series. Your images may be abstract, as long as we can clearly recognize the series. Try to print full frame when possible. Print on Fiber or RC.

You may shoot either Medium Format or 33MM film.
Create a Five Perfect Prints on Fiber Paper or RC Paper (8x10 or smaller)
Creative Topic: TRUTH?

 Choose from the following:
  • Create a series of FALSE Self Portraits
  • Create five Extreme Abstractions
  • Create and Imaginary World with props, and shoot it. 
  • Create a series of FALSE Landscapes
  • Create a series of FALSE Skylines

IF THERE IS CONCERN ABOUT RUNNING OUT OF CHEMICALS THIS WEEKEND, PLEASE EMAIL ME. I CAN COME UP SUNDAY MORNING AND MIX MORE IF NEED BE. 
We will stock them Friday, so you should have plenty, but if not, let me know before it you are in Panic Mode!

Discussion of Weekend Screening
Project 3 Crit Day


Intro to Final Project:
You may shoot either Pinhole Otho Film, Medium Format or 35MM film.
Create a Ten Perfect Prints on Fiber Paper or Resin Coated Paper (8x10 or smaller).

You may work in any combination of the above. 
For example, you could turn in two Pinhole prints on FB Paper, a series of five square 8x8" Prints from a Holga on RC paper and a triptych comprised of 35mm 8x10" shots on RC Paper giving you a combined total of 10 prints.
